Solar panels with Clubio

The Clubio Company, based in Arta and Manacor, has stood out as a leader in the photovoltaic energy sector thanks to its innovative implementation of solar panels. Through the capture and direct conversion of solar radiation into electrical energy, solar panels offer a sustainable and efficient self-consumption solution to supply electricity to both homes and companies. With a focus on the responsible use of natural resources, Clubio has managed to promote the widespread use of solar energy throughout Mallorca, thus contributing to the reduction of the carbon footprint and the promotion of sustainable development in the community.

How does solar energy work?

Solar energy is a renewable energy obtained from the electromagnetic radiation of the Sun. It is a renewable energy because it is obtained from a natural and inexhaustible source, in this case the Sun.

The process begins when the sun's rays come into contact with the photovoltaic cells that make up the solar panels. These cells have one or more layers of a semiconductor material that are covered with transparent glass that allows radiation to pass through and minimizes heat loss.

The sun's rays that reach the cells are composed of photons and an electricity field between them, generating an electrical circuit. Therefore, the more intense the light, the greater the flow of electricity.

Photovoltaic cells convert sunlight into electricity in the form of direct current and with an graduation that varies between 380 V and 800 V. To improve the result obtained, an inverter is used that transforms this energy into alternating current, which is what we use in our homes.

Finally, this alternating current passes through a meter that quantifies it and supplies it to the general electricity network.
